¶ Set Design Option
¶ Introduction
This extension sets the active design option based on the available once in the model. It will look up the design option matching the specified name and make it active.
¶ Problem It Solves
This feature addresses a common issue where IFC exports do not show the correct elements because the correct design option was not active during export. It eliminates the need for manual checks and adjustments, streamlining the export process and ensuring the reliability of the exported files.
¶ Using the Set Design Option extension
- Open Assistant
- Navigate to the Assistant Revit Extension task.
- Search for the "Set Design Option" extension.
- If Assistant is connected to Revit, you will see a dropdown list of available design options. Select the desired design option from the list.
- If Assistant is not connected or if you prefer, you can manually enter the name of the design option in the provided field.
- Run Assistant
¶ Result
Upon successfully setting the design option, Assistant will provide a confirmation message indicating the active design option has been updated. If there are any issues, such as an incorrect name input or a missing design option, you will receive an error message detailing the problem and the available options.
