After a background license refresh attempt, the application now reliably updates its understanding of the license status. Previously, after a successful refresh, the application did not always broadcast the new state, which could cause UI elements or license-dependent features to show stale information. This fix ensures that the license state is communicated after every refresh attempt, whether it succeeds or fails.
After signing in, the Assistant now automatically retries acquiring a license if the previous attempt did not succeed, for example because of a network issue or timing during authentication. This retry happens in the background and avoids redundant attempts when a valid license is already in place.
The browser-based login page now shows "Assistant" instead of "AEC Tools", reflecting the updated product name.
Assistant no longer stores its files inside a nested Tools subfolder. Application files, configurations, logs, and shortcuts now live directly under the Assistant folder. During the next update, the installer automatically cleans up leftover files from older folder layouts.
The Assistant version selector now warns when a version requires a newer Assistant Installer. If you select an incompatible version, an "Update Installer" button lets you download and install the latest Assistant Installer for your feed. Automatic updates can also prompt you to update the Assistant Installer before installing a Assistant version that needs it.
The Assistant CLI's extension-docs command now works correctly. The documentation files describing available extension commands are included in the installed package, so the command returns the expected reference content.
Creating a mapping that referenced an IFC-linked model could previously fail with a "Failed to get reference model" error, even though the IFC model was properly linked in the Revit project. Linked IFC models are now correctly discovered and resolved when setting up mappings.
You can now edit file and folder paths directly in browse-type fields without browsing for them again. Click a path in a file selection field and type your changes.
When renaming a task, the input field is now properly sized and aligned within the task badge area. Pressing Enter or clicking away from the field reliably finishes the rename.
If you choose to save changes before exiting but then cancel the save dialog, the window now stays open and your work is preserved instead of being silently discarded.
