Assistant now supports Revit 2027, Dynamo 2027, AutoCAD 2027, and Navisworks 2027. The supported extensions load in those host versions, and the corresponding Dynamo packages are included.
Assistant selects the matching runtime for each supported host and installed product version, improving extension loading and form compatibility across newer and older Revit and AutoCAD installations.
Revit now includes a dockable AI Chat pane for asking questions and running Assistant tasks alongside a model. The pane reports loading problems without taking down Revit.
AI Chat tool calls appear in compact expandable rows, approved results show reliably, and saved settings let you control approval prompts and warnings before unrestricted AI-generated C# runs.
The AI can generate complete Revit C# scripts, including scripts that do not require an open model, with clearer execution errors.
AI-assisted operations provide clearer guidance when choosing tasks and browsing Forma models or local Revit content, including nested model paths and workset information. The built-in Assistant AI model has also been upgraded.
You can now check files in and out of ProjectWise or copy files out for reference directly from Assistant. File selection and validation are shown before you confirm the operation.
Worksets can be selected from local RVT files and cloud models without Revit running. Loading progress is shown, and Revit models hosted in Autodesk Forma are handled correctly.
Revit IFC exports now let you provide a user-defined property-set file directly in the task. Validation reflects the selected configuration mode, and configured property sets continue to be included when configuration keys contain extra spaces.
Uploading files to SharePoint is more reliable when the network temporarily fails, and empty files are skipped instead of causing unnecessary upload errors. Forge ACC uploads also support wildcard file paths and report a clear error when no files match.
The task previously known as ACC or BIM 360 upload is now called Autodesk Forma Upload. Searches for the older names still find the renamed task.
Batch scripts generated by Assistant can wait for a specified number of seconds before launching, which helps host applications finish starting before an automated task runs.
Installing Assistant is more self-contained. Required .NET runtimes, Node.js, and embedding models can be detected, downloaded, and installed automatically. Setup retries temporary failures, shows consistent progress, and no longer crashes on a clean installation. After a cancelled upgrade, you can keep the currently installed version.
Extension publishers can generate and edit icons while creating or updating an extension. Icons with white backgrounds are cropped correctly, and common save errors are explained in plain language.
The Assistant CLI keeps task types, search history, and daily usage data across restarts. Daily usage counts are recorded against the correct task type, including extension tasks.
Loop previews include a header checkbox for selecting or clearing all items at once, and task icons are shown without a surrounding background with the add action revealed on hover.
Coordination Tool now loads parameter-copy mappings that use default-value functions and preserves them through save, undo, and history.
Assistant starts without waiting on slow or unreachable integrations, and update checks no longer delay startup.
Revit starts reliably when launched through Assistant MCP operations, and short-lived connection health failures are retried before Assistant reports a failure.
AutoCAD starts the selected integration more reliably on installations with multiple supported runtimes and no longer shows an extra security prompt during startup.
ArcGIS sign-in now reports an incomplete sign-in clearly instead of opening a confusing error window.
Dynamo tasks in Revit 2019–2024 continue to work after Dynamo is closed and reopened through Assistant.
Opening an action file in the Assistant Viewer no longer crashes when action groups refresh in the background.
Filter value lists no longer show an empty row when no parameter values are available, and Revit workset selection no longer fails for valid Forma-hosted models.
