¶ Tekla Extension (Formerly Known as Tekla Macro)
Assistant can be extended with custom tasks known as extensions. This extension allows you to customize and automate tasks within the Tekla Structures environment. If you primarily use Tekla Structures as your design software, this extension can significantly improve your workflow.

To begin using Tekla Extensions, start by adding an Tekla Extension to your task list:
¶ Choosing Your Tekla Version
Tekla Extensions support different versions of Tekla Structures. To ensure you select the appropriate version:
- Ensure you are connected to a Tekla Structures instance, and the correct version is automatically extracted from the connected instance.
- If you're not connected, a drop-down menu will allow you to select the appropriate version.
¶ Verified Compatibility
Assistant's package browser mode will indicate whether the selected extension is verified for your chosen Tekla Structures version. This verification ensures that the extension is well-suited for your environment and reduces potential compatibility issues.
